Last week I spent a sunny and slightly warm weekend day visiting the Valley of Fire State Park, about an hour north of Las Vegas, NV. I expected beauty and wonder, but I simply was not prepared. Wow! I cannot recommend it highly enough. Again, wow!
Sometimes the color of the stone was bright orange, sometimes more pink than orange, and other times very rusty in appearance. And I'd turn a corner and where I expected the rock to be dark and shadowy, it would fairly glow.
I'll break this blog post into two simply because I want to post a bunch of photos and don't want the post to run on forever.
